WVU students are invited to attend Lavender Graduation, hosted by the LGBTQ+ Center, on Sunday, April 27 from 3-6 p.m. in the Mountainlair, Blue Ballroom.
Lavender Graduation is a nationally recognized tradition where LGBTQ+ students and allies come together to celebrate graduates and their academic achievements and contributions to their campuses.Now in its 12th year at WVU, the ceremony provides a welcoming, joyous environment for students to be recognized. All students graduating in May who wish to commemorate their graduation with friends and family are welcome. Alumni are also invited to participate.
Sam Green, trans justice organizer for the ACLU West Virginia, will deliver remarks during the ceremony.
Seating is limited. All graduates and guests planning to attend should register by Friday, April 18.
