Apply for paid summer internship with United States Air Force

Students who are interested in careers in defense or cybersecurity fields are encouraged to apply for a paid internship opportunity through the Department of Defense’s prestigious Virtual Institutes for Cyber and Electromagnetic Research and Employment (VICEROY) ENVOY program.

The internship is with the United States Air Force’s Air Combat Command in Virginia from June 2 to August 8. Students will receive compensation, a travel allowance and housing.

What to expect:
In this 10-week internship, students are matched to DoD positions that align with their operational skillsets, immersing them in DoD and service-specific culture through supporting projects that advance the mission. Students are hosted by engaging and supportive mentors that hone student competencies in leadership and culture, teamwork, and oral and written communications, ultimately helping to match the student to employers for follow-on internships and permanent jobs within the DoD. Students can also receive Secret level security clearances as required. 

Compensation includes:
  • $24/hour
  • Travel allowance of up to $1,500
  • Housing
Application Details and Eligibility:
Completing the application is the first step in the selection process. Students must fully complete this form and provide all required documents when submitting. Only complete applications will be accepted. As part of the application, students will need to provide a brief autobiographical statement. Students must ensure proper grammar, spelling and punctuation, and carefully follow all directions.
