A celebration of time-honored traditions and new Homecoming experiences culminated at West Virginia University Saturday (Oct. 19) with the crowning of Megan Frappier and Hannah Warden as the 2024 Homecoming Royalty.
The announcement was made during the halftime ceremony at the Homecoming football game against Kansas State.
Selected by their peers during two days of voting, Frappier and Warden were surrounded by members of the Homecoming Court and family, “The Pride of West Virginia,” the Mountaineer Marching Band and thousands of cheering fans, including alumni, attending the game at Milan Puskar Stadium.
Frappier, a senior criminology and political science dual major from Cliffwood, New Jersey, serves as a member of the Project 168 Society, Women in Politics and Government Club and the Delta Gamma Fraternity, Alpha Xi Chapter, among other organizations. She is the founding president of the Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Peer Advocates and serves as a Diversity Ambassador. Frappier is also a two-term vice president of inclusion for the WVU National Pan-Hellenic Council. She was sponsored by the Hip Hop Dance Team.
Warden, a senior health services management and leadership major from Cross Lanes, serves as the president of the WVU Panhellenic Association, a member of Chi Omega Sorority and the Mountaineer Maniacs, among other organizations. She works as a Mindfit academic coach and is one of the first students to be admitted to the Accelerated Bachelor’s to Master of Public Health program. Warden also volunteers her time with the Multidisciplinary Unsheltered Homeless Outreach of Morgantown. She was sponsored by the WVU Panhellenic Association.
