Students must reauthorize access to view their records starting Monday, May 20

The current Proxy process that lets WVU students give others permission to view and discuss their records is being updated. The location and link names in Banner/STAR will be the same. However, starting Monday, May 20, all students will need to reauthorize access or proxy holders won’t be able to see anything when they log in or discuss your information with University employees.

This is a critical step in updating the student information system to the most current vendor-supported software. Another key change with this upgrade is that the previously separate Midterm and Final Grades pages will be combined into a single page, “Disclose Midterm Grades, Final Grades, and Academic Progress.”

Proxy holders with an active account will be able to log in with same username and password they have previously used, and students will still be able to modify a proxy holder’s access at any time.

This update also does not affect any current permissions in WVU MyAccount. To see full details about a student’s account, people must have Proxy permissions from the student AND be an authorized user in WVU MyAccount.
