First-Year Leadership Academy registration open for freshmen, first-year transfer students

Student Engagement and Leadership invites all freshmen and first-year transfer students to become a member of the First-Year Leadership Academy. Each first-year student in the program will be assigned an upper class student mentor for the year, learn about numerous campus resources and have the opportunity to work in groups on a service project.

All Mountaineers can be leaders and this Academy is a great way to start your leadership development journey at WVU.
The Academy provides an opportunity for you to not only enhance your leadership skills and prepare for student leadership roles for the rest of your time at the University and beyond, but also to learn about yourself, network and develop meaningful relationships with peers.

A kickoff event will be held at 6 p.m. on Feb 7 and the program will be held from 6-8 p.m. every Tuesday for five weeks.

Spots are limited. A limited number of fee waivers are also available to those who can't join because of the fee. To find more information on the waiver, contact SEL@mail.wvu.edu.

Find more information and register by Feb. 5.
