Notice of Drug Free Schools and Community Act

West Virginia University is committed to offering work and educational environments free of the adverse effects of illegal drug and alcohol use. Attached is the University’s Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act booklet, which contains important information about the applicable standards of conduct for employees, including employees of the Research and Innovation Corporation, and students as it relates to drugs and alcohol as well as the applicable legal sanctions for various drug offenses, description of the adverse effects of the abuse of alcohol and the use of illegal drugs, and a description of the programs available to students and employees.
