The Jackson Hole Photography Workshop is currently making an
exciting transition in how it is offered. Based on the past success of the
workshop, the Office of Global Affairs at WVU has decided to use the course as
a pilot program for a tuition reduction model similar to their international
programs. This means the cost of tuition will only be $50/credit for both
resident and non-resident students. There will still be fees attached to the
course to cover travel costs, meals, special events, visiting artists, etc.,
but it should be significantly less. The course will be billed through your
STAR account just like tuition, so you can always arrange a payment plan as
Registration for the course will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
The CRN for the 2020 Jackson Hole Photography Workshop is 50646. You will not be able to search for this CRN, but you can add it to the ADD/DROP section. Please send an email to Michael Sherwin at firstname.lastname@example.org ASAP expressing your interest in registering for the course, and he will provide Department Approval to the Office of Global Affairs so that you may officially register.
The 2020 workshop will take place June 18-28. The course is open to non-art majors, non-WVU students and even non-traditional students. No photographic experience is required and equipment is provided as needed. The 3-credit course fulfills one of the 300 level requirements for photography minors, an upper level art elective requirement for art majors and a humanities elective for non-art majors.
