We are excited to share that we have a few spots remaining for our innovative study abroad trips to Tuscany, Italy for aspiring health professionals. We are looking to bring a multidisciplinary team of students from a variety of health and health-related majors.
This study abroad opportunity for aspiring health professionals will allow students to explore lifestyle medicine using the Mediterranean Diet through a hands-on experience in Tuscany, Italy. During the 12-day cultural immersion from June 9-21, students will engage in culinary lessons, wine-tastings, learn how pasta, ancient grains, cheese and olive oil are produced, and learn about sustainable agricultural practices and their health benefits.
Prior to departure, during the Spring 2019 semester, students enroll in an online 3 credit course on the Mediterranean Diet and lifestyles and the benefits on health and sustainable practices. This will be geared towards junior, senior and pre-graduate school and first-year graduate school students in health-related fields.
