Undergraduate GEF and Honors course for Spring 2026: Introduction to Public and Community Health (PUBH 101)

PUBH 101: Introduction to Public and Community Health is a 3-credit course available to undergraduate students interested in learning more about public and community health. During the course, students will learn about the history, core functions, disciplines, and essential services of public health as well as engage in discussions about current public health events and issues. Course assignments will include reflection writing exercises, a public health photo journal, and a current public health issue campaign.

This course:

• Meets the General Education Foundations Area 4 (GEF 4) requirement

• Includes an Honors section

• Meets a course requirement for the Public Health minor

 

This course will be offered in person on the Downtown Campus on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1-2:15 p.m. in Spring 2026. For more information, contact Assistant Professor Anthony Peluso.
