Students get discounted tickets for nationally touring shows

September 11, 2025

WVU students receive a discount on tickets for the nationally touring shows presented through the University Arts Series, including Mountain Stage on September 21 and The Addams Family on September 22.

Mountain Stage returns to the Canady Creative Arts Center on September 21 at 7 p.m. with guest host David Mayfield. Featuring performances by Chuck Prophet & His Cumbia Shoes, The Steeldrivers, Basia Bulat, The Wild Woods, and Taylor Rae, this is the first of three Mountain Stage performances included in the 2025-26 University Arts Series. Each live performance is recorded for air on public radio where it can be heard on nearly 300 stations nationwide and globally via NPR Music.

The Broadway National Tour of The Addams Family will be at the Canady Creative Arts Center on September 22 at 7:30 p.m. A comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family, The Addams Family is the magnificently macabre hit musical featuring everyone’s favorite creepy, kooky characters. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family. A man her parents have never met. And if that weren’t upsetting enough, she confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before - keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.
