Say thanks on Custodian Appreciation Day on Oct. 2
October 2, 2025
As National Custodian Appreciation Day approaches on Thursday (Oct. 2), the Facilities Operations team recognizes the hard work and dedication of our campus service workers who help make our campus shine.
Whether it’s in classrooms and hallways or residence halls and common areas, our custodial staff often work behind the scenes and outside of regular hours to keep our campus spaces clean and welcoming every day. They respond quickly to unexpected needs and adapt to ever-changing schedules while working to make our campus the best it can be.
Our campus service workers are a critical part of our University, caring for every corner of our buildings and for every Mountaineer who steps foot on campus.
On Thursday, join us in honoring our campus service workers. Take a moment to say “thank you” as you pass by on campus, or drop them an email to show your appreciation.
