Returning students: Accept new certificate to connect to WVU.Encrypted
August 18, 2025
Students and faculty returning to all WVU campuses for the first time since July 31 will need to accept a new security certificate to connect any mobile device to the WVU.Encrypted or eduroam wireless networks. This DigiCert certificate is safe to install and will only need to be accepted once. Generally, the prompt will appear as a pop-up.
If you have not been on a WVU campus since July 31 you may receive a prompt when you try to connect a device to the on-campus Wi-Fi. You may also need to update your WVU.Encrypted password with your current WVU Login password, which may have changed over the summer.
Please direct any questions to the ITS Service Desk at 304-293-4444.
