Nomination for the Truman Scholarship
September 29, 2025
The Harry S. Truman Scholarship Foundation annually awards merit-based scholarships to students (juniors only) who are pursuing graduate degrees AND careers in public service fields. Award recipients have come from many fields of study including agriculture, biology, international relations, physical and social sciences, public administration, and public health to name a few. Truman Scholars are change agents who have plans to improve government agencies, nonprofit organizations, or educational institutions.
If this sounds like you, consider applying for the Truman Scholarship! WVU can nominate up to four students for this award. To be considered, complete the internal application (found on aspire.wvu.edu) and submit it to aspire@mail.wvu.edu by Nov. 3rd. Reach out to the ASPIRE Office with questions!
