Many important WVU services may be inaccessible 7 a.m.-noon Sunday, Sept. 28 during quarterly security update
September 22, 2025
Faculty, staff and students on all campuses may be unable to log into many important services requiring WVU Login credentials 7 a.m.-noon Sunday, September 28 during quarterly security patching to the single sign-on system. Services affected will include but are not limited to Portal; STAR and STAR-related systems; eCampus; SOLE; MAP; Applaud; and Zoom meetings that require a WVU login.
During this time, you may be unable to activate WVU login accounts, change passwords or update your recovery contact information in Okta.
It’s common to see an error message when trying to log in after a system update. If you have problems once this work has been completed, try clearing your web browser history, closing your web browser and relaunching it. Rebooting your device will also clear cached pages. If you still have problems after taking these steps, please call the ITS Service Desk at 304-293-4444.
