Know before you go: Join UPD, WELLWVU, and other campus partners at the Spring Safety Fair March 4-5
February 26, 2026
Do you know how to administer NARCAN? Want to use “drunk goggles” to see the true effects of alcohol consumption? Think you know what a standard alcoholic drink looks like?
Join the University Police Department for a variety of interactive activities at the Know Before You Go: Spring Safety Fair on March 4-5.
Alongside UPD, campus partners like WELLWVU, Student Life, SGA, the Monongalia County Health Department, and more will host tables where you can learn more about how to stay safe over spring break.
Grab a free condom from WELLWVU, and learn more about NARCAN from the Health Department, and stop by the “Ask Us Anything” table to chat with Dean of Students Carrie Showalter. You’ll also get to play games like cornhole and giant Jenga while wearing “drunk goggles” and learn about the University’s medical amnesty policy and LiveSafe, along with many other topics.
Plus, you’ll be entered to win raffle prizes at each table you visit.
Stop by the fair on March 4 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Mountainlair Green and March 5 from 3-5 p.m. in the Rec Center courtyard.
In case of inclement weather, the fair will be moved to the Mountainlair Vandalia Lounge and the Rec Center courts, respectively.
