Homecoming Court
Students can vote for Homecoming Royalty on WVUENGAGE from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday (Oct. 21) and Wednesday (Oct. 22).
This year’s Homecoming Court candidates are all seniors and include Macey Barritt, a political science and philosophy major minoring in leadership studies from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Kayla Bordogna, a psychology major from Morgantown; Laya Chennuru, a neuroscience and psychology major from Martinsburg; Sydney Hickle, a political science major minoring in philosophy and Spanish from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Julia Leyden, a history, political science and philosophy major minoring in leadership studies from Morgantown; Minah Moine, an exercise physiology major with an emphasis in health professions from Clarksburg; Christopher Morrison, a marketing major with an emphasis in professional sales from McDonald, Pennsylvania; Payton Ogden, an advertising and public relations major minoring in marketing and strategic social media from Morgantown; Logan Pierce, a political science and international studies major from Carolina; Bella Randle, an entrepreneurship and innovation, finance and marketing major from Cincinnati, Ohio; and Michael Taylor, a political science, dance and philosophy major from Clendenin.
Sunrise Barre Class
Rise and shine for our special Homecoming GX class! Join us at 7:00 AM on October 23 for a Homecoming-themed Barre class to kick off the day during Homecoming Week. Registration opens October 17, and those who sign up will receive a WVU branded yoga mat. Special thanks to the WVU Alumni Association for providing the mats! If you don’t register, please bring your own mat. A limited number of basic mats will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Don’t miss this fun and energizing start to your day!
Window Painting at the Mountainlair
Artists, Student Orgs, and Greek Life are invited to get creative and paint a window at the Mountainlair as part of WVU Student Life’s Mountaineer Connections’ Homecoming celebrations.

Mountaineer Friday
Mountaineer Friday will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday (Oct. 24) outside the Mountainlair with the WVU Alumni Association truck on hand with giveaways, including mum buttons, a WVU Bookstore pop-up shop, the Mountaineer mascot, Mountaineer Maniacs, food trucks and more.
Homecoming Parade
Get ready to show your Mountaineer pride at the annual Homecoming Parade! The parade kicks off at 6 p.m. Friday (Oct. 24) on High Street and will feature WVU student organizations, spirited floats, and plenty of gold and blue. Join your classmates in cheering on the parade and celebrating this year’s Homecoming Court, award recipients, and grand marshal, Dr. Clay Marsh, chancellor and executive dean for WVU Health Sciences.
Ballin’ at Woodburn
Celebrate the start of basketball season at Ballin’ at Woodburn, a brand-new tip-off event happening at 8:15 p.m. Friday (Oct. 24) on Woodburn Circle, right after the Homecoming Parade. Enjoy food trucks, a live DJ, team introductions, and interactive games with WVU Men’s and Women’s Basketball. The first 500 fans get a free T-shirt, and players will sign autographs after the event. Admission and parking are free!
The Student Lot
Get ready for game day as the Mountaineers take on TCU! 🏈 The Student Lot at Oakland Hall and University Park Courtyard opens at 3 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 25) for food, games, and fun before kickoff at 6 p.m. Bring your WVU student ID (and one guest) to join the celebration. Activities run until 30 minutes before kickoff. Don’t miss this spirited Mountaineer tradition—let’s go!
The Coal Rush Game
The Mountaineers take on TCU in the Coal Rush Game at 6 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 25) at Milan Puskar Stadium. Fans are encouraged to wear black and light up the stadium with LED wristbands, courtesy of Coca-Cola, to honor West Virginia’s coal miners. During halftime, WVU will crown its 2025 Homecoming Royalty, celebrating Mountaineer pride and tradition under the lights.
Trick-or-Trot
Campus Recreation is scheduled to host the Trick-or-Trot 5K and Kids Fun Run starting at 9:30 a.m. Sunday (Oct. 26) at the Student Rec Center. Costumes are encouraged, and there will be trick-or-treating along the course.
