Get your books at a flat-rate price through First Day Complete or opt out by Aug. 30

August 25, 2025

Undergraduate students who have not already obtained textbooks and other required course materials should finalize their First Day Complete order now or opt out of the program by August 30 at 11:59 p.m. EST.

All undergraduate students are automatically enrolled in the WVU Bookstore First Day Complete program, which supplies you with required course materials at a low, flat-rate price. The program provides all required textbooks, lab manuals, access codes and digital textbooks on a rental basis.

Graduate and professional students are not included in this program and are responsible for purchasing their required course materials. High school ACCESS students are also not included in this program.

The cost of First Day Complete, which is $345 per semester for full-time undergraduate students and $161 per semester for part-time undergraduate students, will automatically be added to your semester charges through WVU MyAccount.

You can finalize your order now by accessing their MIX emails and finding the emails sent by Barnes & Noble with instructions to select your delivery preference (pick-up or delivery).

If you find a more cost-effective route after comparing the cost of the program to the cost of individually purchasing each required book, you may choose to opt out of First Day Complete through August 30 at 11:59 p.m. EST. The opt-out link is available online. Please allow up to 3 days after opting out for the charge to be removed from your account.

Before opting out, we encourage you to use the Course Material Finder by selecting the fall opt-out term to compare pricing for purchasing course materials individually to the First Day Complete program’s flat fee.

If you do not opt out by the deadline, your course materials will be held at the WVU Bookstore awaiting pick-up, and their WVU MyAccount will be charged.

For more information on the program, visit the First Day Complete webpage.
