First-Gen Students: Connect, Learn, and Thrive!
January 12, 2026
Are you a first-generation college student in your 1st or 2nd year?
Starting college can be exciting—but also overwhelming. That’s why we’re launching a mentorship program just for you.
You’ll be paired with a 3rd or 4th-year student or faculty member who’s also a first-generation student and has walked the path you’re just beginning. They’ll offer guidance, share tips, and support you as you navigate your college journey.
Important: This program is for students who genuinely want to be mentored and are ready to engage. If you apply, you are committing to:
Checking in with your mentor by email every other week
Meeting with your mentor twice per semester (lunch provided)
Attending the First-Gen Celebration Banquet in Spring 2026
If you’re ready to take advantage of this opportunity and actively participate, apply now to join as a mentee! Jan 14. 2026 application close date.
Apply here.
