First Day Complete selection period open for spring 2026
December 4, 2025
The WVU Bookstore’s First Day Complete program has launched for the spring 2026 semester to provide all undergraduate students with their required course materials at a low, flat-rate price.
All undergraduate students are automatically enrolled in First Day Complete. The program provides you with a lower-cost, lower-stress approach to obtaining your required textbooks and other course materials, including lab manuals, access codes, and digital textbooks, all provided on a rental basis. WVU students who participated in First Day Complete during the 2024-2025 academic year saved an average of 22% on course materials.
The cost of First Day Complete, which is $345 per semester for full-time undergraduate students and $161 per semester for part-time undergraduate students, will automatically be added to your semester charges through WVU MyAccount.
On Friday (Nov. 28), you received an email from “Barnes & Noble College – West Virginia University” in your MIX email account with information on the First Day Complete program, including instructions on selecting your delivery preference (pick-up or delivery) for your course materials.
You must complete this step to finalize your order and receive your materials.
You may choose to opt out of First Day Complete through Jan. 21 at 11:59 p.m. EST. The opt-out link is available online. Before opting out, we encourage you to use the Course Material Finder by selecting the spring opt-out term to compare the pricing for individual books and access codes from the WVU Bookstore to the First Day Complete flat fee to determine if purchasing course materials individually is a more cost-effective route. Please allow up to 3 days after opting out for the charge to be removed from your account.
For more information on the program, visit the First Day Complete webpage. For questions, please email FDC@mail.wvu.edu.
