First Day Complete program will open July 6 for fall 2026 semester
April 30, 2026
The WVU Bookstore’s First Day Complete program will launch on July 6 for the fall 2026 semester. The program supplies all undergraduate students with their required course materials at a low, flat-rate price.
This program provides a lower-cost, lower-stress approach to obtaining required textbooks and other course materials, including lab manuals, access codes, and digital textbooks, provided on a rental basis. WVU students who participated in First Day Complete during the 2025-2026 academic year saved an average of 24% on course materials, and since the program launched at WVU in fall 2024, students have saved $4.63 million.
The cost of First Day Complete, which is $345 per semester for full-time undergraduate students and $161 per semester for part-time undergraduate students, will automatically be added to students’ semester charges through WVU MyAccount.
On June 29, undergraduate students will receive a welcome email from the WVU Bookstore to provide information on the program. On July 6, students will receive a second email with instructions on taking action to select their delivery preference (pick-up or delivery) for their course materials.
Students must complete this step to finalize their order and receive their materials.
Students may choose to opt out of First Day Complete beginning July 6 through Aug. 29 at 11:59 p.m. EST. The opt-out link will be made available online on July 6.
Before opting out, we encourage students to use the Course Material Finder by selecting the fall opt-out term to compare the pricing for individual books and access codes from the WVU Bookstore to the First Day Complete flat fee to determine if purchasing course materials individually is a more cost-effective route.
