eCampus Ultra now the default at WVU
August 18, 2025
This fall, students will notice a major update to eCampus, one of the University’s learning platforms. Over the summer, eCampus Ultra officially replaced eCampus original as the campus default. This means you may notice some changes in the look and feel of your courses. Here’s what you need to know:
Modern Experience: eCampus Ultra is more compatible with mobile devices, adjusting automatically to fit any computer, tablet or smartphone screen.
Stay Organized: Progress-tracking tools that will let you see your course deadlines and mark your tasks complete.
Visible Announcements: In Ultra, announcements appear as pop-ups when entering a course, making it harder to miss critical information.
Testing Improvement: New Test Question Filters let you look at all questions of a single type or see only unanswered questions.
Tutorials Available: Check out Blackboard’s student tutorial YouTube channel for step-by-step videos on using Ultra effectively.
eCampus Original will be retired after the 2025–2026 academic year. This change does not affect courses taught in SOLE, the platform used at the WVU Health Sciences Campus.
