Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship

Applications for the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship are now open. The deadline to apply is December 5 by 5 p.m. through WVU Engage. An application must be a WVU full-time undergraduate student, have a cumulative GPA of a 2.5 or higher, have financial need (determined by the WVU Financial Aid Office), and submit a completed application to include an essay, resume and two letters of recommendation.
The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. scholarship is open to all students who meet the specified criteria, regardless of race, color, or national origin.
The recipient will accept the scholarship at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Unity Breakfast January 17, 2026 at 9:30am in the Mountainlair Ballrooms. Tickets for this event will be available November 3.
