Be a Peer Mentor with Country Roads at WVU!
August 28, 2025
Looking for a meaningful volunteer experience that makes a real impact? Country Roads is a college program for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and we’re looking for WVU students to serve as Peer Mentors.
Peer mentors support the Country Roads students as they acclimate to college life. Examples include: getting around campus, practicing social skills and understanding campus culture, assisting with organization, acclimating to groups or clubs, attending athletic events and other student experiences.
Peer mentors may be able to use time toward internship, practicum, or other training or service hours. We require all Peer Mentors to register with the CED and complete a background check. To get involved, email countryroads@hsc.wvu.edu.
