WVU is committed to providing a safe learning and living environment. As you prepare for the semester, take a few minutes to review these important safety and wellness resources.

1. Download the LiveSafe app

LiveSafe allows you to communicate directly and discreetly with University Police using text, photos, audio, and video. Its SafeWalk feature also lets friends and family virtually accompany you as you travel across campus.

2. Prioritize your well-being

WVU offers free resources to support your physical, mental, and emotional health. Students can access counseling, addiction recovery support, health education, wellness programs, and opportunities to build connections across campus.

3. Review emergency procedures

Know how to report an emergency and where to find timely, official information during a campus incident. Reviewing these procedures now can help you respond quickly and confidently when it matters.

4. Learn how to respond in a crisis

WVU offers free online and in-person training programs that can help you recognize concerns, respond to emergencies, and support others.

5. WVU Safety Notification System information

All WVU students are enrolled in WVU Safety Notification System and will receive timely emergency information by text message, email, or both when WVU Alerts are issued.
