The editors of the Mountaineer Undergraduate Research Review (MURR) are pleased to announce the resurgence of this undergraduate research journal at West Virginia University. This student-led academic journal will feature the work of undergraduate students on campus and will allow their findings to be published on the web-based open journal systems platform available courtesy of the WVU libraries. MURR is an online publication that publishes faculty-mentored research and literature reviews from West Virginia University undergraduates, and it is the only journal that publishes solely undergraduate work in West Virginia.
We are pleased to announce that submissions are now open for this year’s edition. The deadline for a student to submit his or her work will be set for May 10, 2017. Potential papers we are interested in publishing include but are not limited to papers describing or summarizing student's research projects, technical reviews, senior/honors thesis papers, and other technical research papers. We are happy to publish work from all academic disciplines. If you are interested in submitting a paper, please follow the following steps:
1. Go to ojs.lib.wvu.edu/murr/index.php/murr.
2. Click “Register” and make an account; be sure to select the “Author” option at the very bottom of the page before continuing.
3. Login to account and upload paper in Word format. Please have the names and email addresses of 2 professors/faculty members (other than one’s own research advisor) to be potential reviewers.
4. Follow the 5 steps to complete submission; however, you may skip any steps that are not required, as denoted by an asterisk.
We also encourage you to read this year's journal once it is published. If you have any questions, please direct them to the Mountaineer Undergraduate Research Review email at MURR.WVU@gmail.com.
