As a new semester begins, West Virginia University is launching a new approach to provide students with the information they need in an effective and uncluttered manner. Beginning Monday (Aug. 7) Unews will arrive in student inboxes twice a week, highlighting upcoming events, leadership and service opportunities, and important dates and deadlines.
All registered students will receive Unews on Monday and Thursday mornings during the fall and spring semesters via their MIX account. Monday’s email will connect you directly with what you need to know for the week, and Thursday’s email will keep you informed about all of the fun and exciting events going on during the weekend.
If you would like to share information with the campus community, please submit your announcement at least 48 hours in advance of publication via the campus announcements form at students.wvu.edu.
Campus announcements are updated regularly at students.wvu.edu, the hub for student information. Please check back often for the most up-to-date information.
This initiative is being undertaken at the request of the Student Government Association and students who have long asked for a way to get information, without being overwhelmed by multiple emails. Later in the semester, a survey will be available to gauge the success and response.
